In this year 2023, I have been living the easter week, in plenty of meditation from the Peñol, I have enjoyed good readings, the enjoyment of nature, my favorite red wine, and the inevitable rock classics that have always fascinated me.
An incident that allowed me to transcend: Make the permanent monitoring of the emergency that threatens the communities surrounding the Nevado del Ruiz (Huila and Tolima regions in Colombia) in the event of possible eruption. My sensitive contribution has been the prayer to God so that the Nevado calms down from throwing gases or ashes exceeding 1,700 meters, according to the Colombian Geological Service.
History reminds us today the tragedy of Armero that 13 of November of 1985, a tragedy that presented the horrifying number of more than 23.000 deaths because of the avalanche, lots of tears that increased throughout the world with the touching episode starring by Omaira Sanchez, the child of 13 years old, a symbol of courage and love for the humanity, the heroine who before dying, was trapped 3 days by her legs, and with water up to her neck, the painful and touching reality that kept step by step the entire world, when there were still no realitys. All the hearts were broken when the girl was saying that she only was worried because she didn’t do her homework, and because the journalists weren’t going to rest.
But also, during this week that just passed, our curse of drones was present in the midst of the Nevado emergency, and I am saying this because of a transmission of technical experts of the Radio difusora Nacional. They talked about the use of the Parrot Anafi Thermal, the drone 4k- thermographic, they said that is the lightest for the monitoring in the ground, which in the case of height and environment of the Nevado area makes it very easy for the transportation, and I heard that it can fly in the rain. All that report on the radio motivated me to research more, I was able to find out that this drone only weighs 315 grams, and it owns three types of colors, in the thermal spectrum, the absolute thermal mode, the relative thermal mode and the punctual thermal mode, which is used to isolate cold or hot spots and that can very well take advantage of the CCD sensor, because it offers a slightly higher light sensitivity (it captures light better ), produce less noise than CMOS sensors, although they are more complex to incorporate into a camera and can consume up to 100 times more energy than a CMOS sensor, it is also noted that they are larger equipment.
A you can see, this report is about my experience during the easter week, which develops from the reflexion mostly in the actual world, the threat of the people life, and the role of the science and the technology to solve problems, sadly, was the issue that was absent in 1985, where before the fragile technology and science, only the spiritual and the conjectures were present.

En este año 2023, la Semana Santa la he vivido en plena reflexión desde la localidad de El Peñol, he disfrutado de buenas lecturas, el goce de la naturaleza, mi preferido vino tinto y los infaltables clásicos del rock que siempre me han apasionado.
Un episodio que me permitió trascender: Hacer el permanente seguimiento a la emergencia que amenaza a las comunidades aledañas al Nevado del Ruiz (regiones del Huila y Tolima en Colombia) ante posible erupción. Mi aporte sensible ha sido la oración a Dios para que el nevado se calme de lanzar gases o cenizas superando los 1.700 metros, según el Servicio Geológico Colombiano.
La historia nos recuerda hoy la tragedia de Armero aquel 13 de noviembre de 1985, tragedia que presentó la espantosa cifra de más de 23.000 muertos a causa de la avalancha, mares de lágrimas que se acrecentaron en todo el mundo con el conmovedor episodio protagonizado por Omaira Sánchez, la niña de 13 años, símbolo de valor y amor para la humanidad, la heroína que antes de morir, estuvo atrapada tres días de las piernas y con el agua al cuello, el doloroso y conmovedor reality que siguió paso a paso el planeta entero cuando todavía no habían realitys. Los corazones quedaron desgarrados cuando la niña decía que solo le preocupaba que no había hecho las tareas escolares y porque los periodistas no iban a descansar.
Pero también durante esta semana que acaba de pasar, estuvo presente nuestro curso de drones en plena emergencia del Nevado, y lo digo a raíz de una transmisión de expertos técnicos por la Radiodifusora Nacional. Hablaron de la utilización del Parrot Anafi Thermal, el dron 4k - termográfico, decían que es el más ultraliviano para el monitoreo en el terreno, que para el caso de la altura y ambiente de la zona del nevado lo hace de muy fácil transporte, y escuché que puede volar en la lluvia. Todo ese informe en la radio me motivo a averiguar más, pude saber que este dron sólo pesa unos 315 gramos, posee tres modos de color (o paletas) en el espectro térmico: el modo térmico absoluto, el modo térmico relativo y el modo térmico puntual, el cual se utiliza para aislar los puntos fríos o con calor y que muy bien puede aprovechar el sensor CCD, porque este ofrece una sensibilidad lumínica ligeramente superior (Capta mejor la luz), producen menos ruido que los sensores CMOS, aunque resultan más complejos de incorporar a una cámara y pueden consumir hasta 100 veces más energía que un sensor CMOS, también se advierte que son equipos más grandes.
Como podrán notar, este informe sobre mi experiencia durante la Semana Santa se desarrolla desde la reflexión más aterrizada en el mundo actual, la amenaza de vida de la gente, y el papel de la ciencia y la tecnología en resolver problemas, tristemente, fue la cuestión que estuvo ausente en 1985, donde ante la frágil tecnología y ciencia, sólo lo espiritual y las conjeturas estuvieron presentes.
